Great question! We perform interviews/evaluations for the physical safety and emotional well-being of every dog and handler. We must ensure that every dog that attends Barks & Rec has been evaluated and is a good fit for open group play. If not we will work with you to determine a more specialized plan to try and incorporate them into our daycare facility.
Also, not all dogs enjoy off-leash play environments (i.e., going to dog daycare). Any pet care center focused on the safety of all dogs that participate in an off-leash play environment typically have a formal screening process. This will include providing background and behavior information on your dog plus an evaluation meeting. The goal of the evaluation is to ensure each dog is right for the environment as we described above.
